Toothache usually appears at the worst possible moment, when either we are facing a major event, or at the present time no doctor is available who could quickly cure our problem. Painkillers are effective only for a certain time; in most cases they are not enough to truly eliminate the pain. What should you do when pain strikes you, without needing chemical substances?

Canadian research

A medical commission conducted research in Canada aimed at proving relief from toothache without the need to perform any oral method. Their experiment showed that a single ice cube can cure toothaches without having to touch the painful tooth. The procedure is very simple and the only thing you need for it is a single ice cube. How to proceed?

  • Extend your thumb and index finger and bend the other fingers.
  • Rub the ice cube in the area between the two extended fingers until the ice cube completely melts.
  • It takes about 5 to 7 minutes, and the toothache disappears precisely within that time.

What is the secret of this method?

The secret of the method is the nerve endings located in the area between the thumb and index finger, which transmit pain to the brain. A full 90 percent of the people in the experiment reported a positive effect. For most of them the toothache disappeared within seven minutes and, in addition, the pain remained gone for a longer period. All of this, of course, does not mean you do not need to visit a specialist. It is only a temporary method that will relieve your pain, costs nothing and is immediately available.

Among the most common reasons for toothache are, of course, the presence of dental caries or inflammation of the dental nerve, for which a dentist must help you as soon as possible. A dead tooth whose canals were not properly treated, gum inflammation, or lost fillings can also cause pain. Severe pain often also occurs when wisdom teeth are erupting.
