Do you want to maintain long-lasting health and avoid frequent visits to doctors? In that case it is necessary to pay attention to a healthy lifestyle. To make it really work, it’s worth deploying all of nature’s weapons that help the body in the fight against aging and various diseases. A great example is the herb called dobromysl. What effects does it have and why is it worth regularly preparing tea from it? You will find out in this article.

Amazing herb dobromysl

You may know dobromysl by the name oregano. This aromatic herb is widely used in the kitchen thanks to its flavoring properties. However, that is by far not the only thing it can do. It is a perennial herb with a height commonly around 20 to 30 centimeters. It blooms with beautiful purple flowers and the leaves—rich in essential oils with a distinctive aroma and medicinal effects—are mainly used. The beneficial effects of this herb have been known for many years, yet many people today do not know much about them.

How to prepare tea from oregano

Given the positive properties of dobromysl, it’s worth preparing a cup of this delicious and at the same time beneficial tea ideally every day. The procedure is very simple and you can manage it in a few minutes. You can use fresh or dried dobromysl, as both variants offer excellent properties and uses.

You will need about 300 ml of water and 3 tablespoons of fresh or 1 tablespoon of dried oregano. Pour boiling water over the herb and let it steep under a covered container for about 10 minutes. Then let it cool and you can start drinking.

Strong tea for colds

The recipe given above is more preventive. However, when you already have a problem in the form of a cold or cough, prepare a stronger tea. Add 2 tablespoons of dried dobromysl to one cup of water. Conversely, for simply calming the nerves you will suffice with one smaller teaspoon, allowing the tea to steep longer.
