Women’s sanitary pads are for most of us associated exclusively with the menstrual period. But pads can be used for many other purposes you probably wouldn’t even think of. Sometimes it’s enough to cut a pad into several smaller strips and then use them as practical helpers in various situations, and sometimes a pad used whole will serve us well.
In the case of women’s pads, their huge advantage is high absorbency, a sterile and pleasant material and the possibility of fastening thanks to the adhesive side. If unpleasant foot sweating bothers you in summer, stick a women’s pad to the inside of the shoe. Not only will the impact be much softer, but once you sweat it will draw moisture away from your feet. Then just change it as needed.
During training and bleeding
An inventive fitness trainer recommends using a strip of a women’s pad even during training. Ordinary headbands simply weren’t enough to catch sweat, so he glued a pad to their underside. It isn’t noticeable from the outside if you trim the pad, but thanks to its absorbent properties you’ll never have to struggle with unpleasant sweat running into your eyes again.
Women’s pads are, of course, hygienic and sterile. Moreover, they perfectly absorb any liquid. That makes them an excellent means for bleeding wounds that we don’t want to bandage with a rag. A much simpler, cleaner and more effective solution is to cover the affected area with a women’s pad and let the blood soak into it. We can also tape a strip of pad and secure it with adhesive tape instead of a bandage.
Nipple discharge and sweating
Many mothers experience unpleasant nipple discharge during breastfeeding. It can even soak through the bra and leave wet stains on clothing, which is certainly unpleasant in many situations. Although special bra pads are available today, ordinary women’s sanitary pads will do the job well. Simply cut them into pieces as needed and place them over the nipple area. If they become soaked, simply replace them with new, clean ones.
Heat, stress or nervousness. All of these can cause unpleasant underarm sweating that leaves unpleasantly smelling stains on clothing. Even the best antiperspirants sometimes don’t improve the situation, so you should rely on women’s pads. Simply stick them to the inside of the clothing in the underarm area so that the absorbent part adheres to your body. Change the pads as needed whenever you feel more sweaty.
