You’ll fall in love with turkey meat in a yogurt marinade
Thanks to this light dish you’ll always feel good after eating. Moreover, this combination is very tasty and healthy. You can prepare the meat in the marinade a day in advance, or just an hour — it’s up to you. The meat will always be very juicy, flavorful and tender.
Turkey is juicy mainly because of the yogurt marinade. It gives the beloved dish an interesting taste and excellent texture. For this great dish prepare:
- 1 kg turkey breasts
- 1 large plain yogurt
- zest of one lemon
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 tablespoon of mustard
- salt and pepper to taste
Clean, wash and cut the turkey breasts into smaller pieces. Put them into a bowl and cover with the plain yogurt. Add the lemon zest, garlic, mustard and, if desired, your favorite herb. Salt and pepper to taste and let rest overnight or as you prefer.
Once marinated, the recipe is very simple
The next day or immediately after marinating, preheat the oven to 180 °C and place the meat on baking paper in the oven for 30–45 minutes. The meat will be tender, juicy and very tasty after baking.
With meat in a yogurt marinade you might enjoy, for example, roasted potatoes or slices of zucchini sautéed in butter. A suitable side dish would also be a mix of grilled vegetables or simply a vegetable salad. If you don’t want to keep your diet so strict, you can also prepare fries or croquettes with the meat. These are the most popular types of side dishes in almost every household.
If you want to enrich your main course a little more, we have one more tip. Mix some plain yogurt with a pinch of salt and finely grated garlic. Mix everything thoroughly and serve as a tasty dressing with the meat and fries.
