Delicious curd rolls with sour cream

To prepare this treat, which is an excellent dessert with coffee or tea, we will need:

Dough:

  • Flour – 350 g
  • Dried yeast – 3 g
  • Milk – 100 ml
  • Sugar – 50 g
  • Butter (may also be margarine) – 50 g
  • Sour cream – 70 g
  • A pinch of salt

Filling:

  • Curd cheese – 500 g
  • Sugar – 100 g
  • Egg – 1 pc

Sour cream glaze:

  • Sour cream – 200 g
  • Sugar – 1 tablespoon

Procedure:

In warm milk we dissolve the dried yeast. To it we add half a teaspoon of sugar and 2-3 tablespoons of flour. Mix everything and leave in a warm place for 30-40 minutes to allow the starter to develop.

In a bowl we then mix the remaining dry ingredients. To them we later add the butter together with the sour cream and mix everything together.

We add the starter to this mixture and knead the dough. It should have the right consistency; otherwise, thin it with milk or add an appropriate amount of flour. Leave the worked dough to rest for about 10-15 minutes in a dry, warm place without drafts.

After this time, knead the dough briefly again, then cover it with a cloth and place it in a warm spot. Leave it there until it rises.

While the dough is rising, prepare the filling. It is made by mixing the curd, egg and sugar.

Roll the risen dough out to a thickness of about 5 mm to 1 cm into a rectangle. Once the dough is rolled out, spread the filling evenly over it. Carefully roll both layers into a roulade, which you cut so that you get about 20 rolls.

Arrange the rolls on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake them until golden at 180-200 degrees. About 5 minutes before the end of baking, you can brush them with an egg.

In the meantime, make the glaze by mixing the sour cream with the sugar. After baking, pour this mixture over the rolls and let them cool. Then you can confidently serve them.
