An unexpected visit is coming and you don’t know what to prepare? Or do you want to create a slightly more luxurious dessert that won’t be complicated to make, but whose taste will truly be worth it? In that case, the following recipe for an excellent, light and delicate kefir cake will surely come in handy and be a success with every guest. Be sure to save the recipe for later use as well.
Ingredients for the dough
- 2 cups of flour
- 1 cup of kefir
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup of sugar
- 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cocoa
Ingredients for the cream
- 500 grams sour cream
- 100 grams sugar
- Vanilla sugar to taste
Instructions for preparing the cake
Fortunately, the actual instructions for preparing the recipe are not complicated. First prepare the batter. Mix all the listed ingredients except for the cocoa and mix thoroughly. When the batter becomes thicker, add the kefir. Mix thoroughly again.
Divide the prepared batter immediately into two roughly equal parts. Put a teaspoon of cocoa into one and mix. Leave the other in its original light color to create an aesthetic effect in the cake.
From each batter prepare one layer by pouring the batter into a suitably shaped pan and baking at about 180 degrees. You will know the batter is properly baked when it has a lightly golden color and does not stick to a skewer. Once the layers have cooled, cut each layer in half.
While waiting for them to cool, prepare the cream. Gradually mix the ingredients listed above together until smooth. Then spread it over the individual halved layers. For variety, you can sprinkle a little crushed nuts or dried fruit. Assemble the cake layers until all parts are used. You can pour melted chocolate on top. Then let the whole cake cool thoroughly and you can serve it after a few hours. You will see that with it you will be a hit with everyone.
