To the Dubai misdemeanor court a man recently turned who was an eyewitness to his wife’s infidelity and the betrayal by his longtime friend. As it turned out, the wife and her husband’s friend were lovers. When everything was exposed, the lover preferred to jump out of a window rather than face his friend face to face.
He broke both legs in the fall
When the 27-year-old man took a break at work, he wanted to check whether his wife was really at home, as she had told him in WhatsApp messages. However, in his apartment he caught his wife indulging in sexual pleasures with her lover. The lover was also the man’s friend. Afraid that it would be discovered that he was his wife’s lover, he chose to jump out of the window. The apartment, however, was on the second floor and the lover broke both his legs in the jump. And given that adultery is considered a criminal offense in Arab countries, an investigation was opened.
The wife recently filed for divorce
The husband, who works as a cook, told investigators that he had become suspicious that his wife was unfaithful with his colleague from work. “He was my friend and a coworker. I introduced them a few months ago,” he says. “When my wife recently filed for divorce, I suspected that he was the main reason.” Although he had no proof of the infidelity, he couldn’t stop thinking about it.
The photo that revealed everything
One evening at work he felt particularly uneasy that his wife was lying to him when she claimed she was out with girlfriends. He asked her to take a picture and send it to him. The wife sent the photo and everything seemed fine. But when the man looked at the photo a second time, he noticed that the woman was not wearing pants. That was enough proof! He took a break and went home. When he arrived at the door, he heard male and female voices inside the apartment. The keys were in the lock from the inside, so he knocked. What happened next was discovered only during the police investigation.
Divine justice
The wife tearfully stated: “I was in the apartment with my lover. Suddenly there was the clatter of a key and a knock. It was clear to us that my husband was coming. Fearing that what was happening between me and his friend would be found out, my lover ran to the window and jumped. Unfortunately, he broke both his legs in the jump.” The public prosecutor charged the woman and her lover with moral misconduct and requested that they be detained. The accused man was not present at the trial and the woman, although she admitted during the investigation to participating in unlawful sexual intercourse, pleaded not guilty in court.
