Have you ever eaten starch pancakes? Most people only make the classic recipe for this basic and excellent dessert, which you most often prepare for breakfast. Starch pancakes, however, used to be very popular in the past. This recipe is delicious and much healthier than others. Their great advantage is also the fact that they almost don’t fall apart, so you won’t have as much work with them. They are fairly thick and elastic. And besides, they have a very delicate flavor.

The ingredients are wonderfully simple

Don’t worry, you won’t need anything surprising to make them. Before you start, prepare 3 tablespoons of starch, 1 egg, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 250 ml of milk, 1 tablespoon of sunflower oil and a pinch of salt. The only thing you might not always have at home is starch. However, most people do have it at home all the time, along with the other ingredients. You can therefore pleasantly surprise your family whenever you feel like having something sweet.

Extremely easy preparation

First, sift the potato starch into a deep bowl. Pour in the lukewarm milk and gently stir with a whisk. Crack the egg into another bowl and beat it with a fork. Then add it to the starch. Add the sugar and salt. For the salt, a quarter of a teaspoon is enough. Next pour the oil into the mixture. Again gently whisk until smooth. The batter’s consistency should resemble more water than thick batter. Don’t be surprised by this.

Now you can put the pan on the heat and warm it. Apply a little oil to it. Pour some of the batter into the pan. Keep in mind that the layer must not be thick, otherwise you will make more like large pancakes. Let the batter cook for a moment and then flip it to the other side. Each side will take about a minute. Constantly check the pancakes so you don’t burn them. From the amount in this recipe you should get about 5 or 6 pancakes. If you want to make more, you must double the amount of ingredients. Otherwise you can, of course, proceed in the same way. Enjoy your meal!
