The global pandemic is shouting at us from all the media and everyday routines. Each of us is dealing with vaccination, testing, or monitoring symptoms in ourselves and around us. A face mask is also an everyday aid. Take a look at the symptoms you may have experienced in recent months that indicate coronavirus, without you even noticing.
Typical symptoms of coronavirus
Among the most basic and most common symptoms of the viral disease Covid-19 are a dry cough, fever, or pain in the limbs and joints. Another clear symptom is headache. However, there are also other milder symptoms that indicate coronavirus, but they do not receive as much attention. If you have experienced the following symptoms in recent months, you have most likely had coronavirus yourself.
The first symptom of coronavirus that may indicate a past viral illness is a sore throat or a runny nose. These symptoms are also signs of a mild cold. Having coronavirus may be accompanied by these mild symptoms along with fever and cough. The second symptom of coronavirus is the now well-known loss of taste and smell. These problems can even last for several weeks.
Loss of appetite is one of the symptoms of coronavirus
Loss of appetite does not necessarily have to be associated only with the loss of taste and smell. Even without that loss, you may experience a lack of appetite. Haven’t felt like eating your favorite food for some time, or can’t think of a treat you’d like? Then this sign is one of the symptoms of your past coronavirus.
Have you paid attention in recent months or weeks to your fingers on your hands or feet? If you have noticed pink or purple spots on the skin of your extremities, then this is a possible side effect of Covid-19. It can also manifest as itching or sore areas on the skin.
Have you had vision problems?
One of the most common vision problems is conjunctivitis, which is a very unpleasant condition. It can be treated quite well with eye drops prescribed by a doctor, but proper eye treatment is not the rule for recovering from a viral illness.
If you have encountered any of these symptoms recently, you may already have had coronavirus. You therefore belong to the luckier part of the population that went through the viral illness without major symptoms, and at the same time you have developed antibodies.
