Are you constantly busy? Then you’ll surely appreciate a quick and tasty dish in the form of meatballs with sour cream and cheese. It will satisfy not only yourself, but also a large hungry family. The process is very simple and even a beginner can manage it.
What ingredients do you need to prepare meatballs with sour cream and cheese?
Before you start cooking, get these ingredients:
- ground meat (beef, pork or a mix): ½ kg
- large onion: 1 pc
- seasoning mix Vegeta: 1 to 2 teaspoons
- cooked rice: ½ cup
- ground black pepper: to taste
- sweet paprika (ground): to taste
- garlic: 2 to 3 cloves
- water: 2 liters
- egg: 1 pc
- carrot: 1 pc
- breadcrumbs: 2 to 3 tablespoons
- baking powder: ½ pack
- sour cream: 200 g
- beaten eggs: 2 pcs
- Parmesan or cheddar: 100 to 150 g
How to proceed when preparing meatballs with sour cream and cheese?
First pour a little sunflower oil into a pan and sauté the chopped onion in it until golden. Then transfer it to a bowl and mix with the ground meat. Next add to the mixture peeled and pressed garlic, ground paprika, pepper, the egg, coarsely grated carrot (which you cleaned beforehand), breadcrumbs, baking powder, cooked rice and form a homogeneous dough.
Cooking the meatballs and their subsequent baking in a creamy sauce with cheese
Now form smaller balls from the meat mixture and cook them in boiling water until tender for about a quarter of an hour. Then transfer them to a baking dish and start preparing the creamy sauce. In a bowl whisk the egg, add to it coarsely grated cheddar or Parmesan and mix with the sour cream. Spread the sauce evenly over the balls and bake in the oven for approx. 20 minutes at 200 °C.
Serving the meatballs
Serve the meatballs hot, for example with fresh bread, boiled potatoes, roasted potatoes or with fries. You can also add flavored cold sauces and a vegetable salad to the dish. Enjoy your meal.
