Prepare these ingredients
- 600 g ground meat
- 200 g shredded white cabbage
- 80 g cheese
- 1 whole egg
- seasoning to taste (pepper, salt, garlic, herbs)
Preparation
If you don’t have shredded cabbage, it’s time to shred it. Also coarsely grate the cheese and put both of these ingredients into one larger bowl. You will gradually add the rest of the ingredients to them and form the necessary mixture in the bowl. There’s nothing easier than adding all the other ingredients to the bowl and mixing them thoroughly. Don’t forget to add an appropriate amount of salt and pepper to the prepared mixture. It’s very tasty to add crushed garlic. For an even better flavor you can also add fresh or dried herbs to suit your taste. Tried-and-true choices are dill, celery leaves, chives, coriander, fennel and other herbs. Mix the seasoned mixture thoroughly so that all the flavors combine. The ingredients should also be even so that the meatballs shape well.
Line a baking sheet with baking paper on which you will place the raw formed meatballs that you will then bake in the oven. Shape equally sized balls so they all bake for the same amount of time. It’s up to you whether you bake the balls as is or flatten them on the sheet to obtain the classic meatball shape. If the meat mixture sticks too much to your hands, you can wet them in water. Bake the meatballs in a preheated oven at 180 ° for about 30 minutes. You can choose from several types of side dishes for the meatballs.
