In your life there are many habits you don’t even know are harming you. In fact, these are seemingly small things that can damage your brain and overall memory in the long term. Unlearn these small habits and enrich your life with a much healthier brain.

Breakfast is the foundation of the day

Don’t have time for a proper breakfast as a good start to your day? Then definitely make the time. Although most people skip breakfast, it’s not healthy for your life at all. The reason people avoid breakfast is most likely a diet or simply being in a big hurry to get to work. The truth, however, is that breakfast is the foundation of the day for perfect energy levels. Your body will thank you for a daily breakfast with great condition, and your brain will be glad for breakfast as well. If you don’t eat breakfast, your brain is weakened by insufficient nutrition.

Another cause of poor memory or brain condition may be overeating. If you consume an abnormally large amount of food, you damage both the brain and the heart. Overeating is in fact a main cause of stroke, which affects a large number of people today. Eat moderately and keep in mind the recommended daily amounts of fluids and food.

Smokers weaken overall health

Scientists have already clearly proven to the entire human population that smoking increases the risk of many diseases. Besides lung cancer, cigarettes damage your overall health, including the brain. Decreasing brain cells can cause reduced concentration or even fatal consequences of brain damage.

Another enemy of your brain is excessive sugar consumption. If your diet contains a lot of sugar, you are setting yourself up for major health problems. In addition to other possible diseases, you are also harming your memory. Sugar absorbs proteins that are good nourishment for your brain. A lack of this nutrient causes your brain to deform and slowly disintegrate.

Get yourself fresh air

Nowadays cities are overwhelmed with smog and harmful substances in the air. A lack of fresh air leads to poor oxygenation of the brain, and soon you will begin to struggle with problems concentrating or with memory. Therefore go for a longer walk in nature at least once a week, where you will take in enough fresh air.

The last recommendation concerns your sleep. Do not sleep with your head covered. Some people, for complete peace, cover their eyes and whole head with a pillow or blanket, unknowingly harming themselves. The brain can be damaged relatively quickly as a result of poor oxygenation.
