We all know that plants such as tomatoes are not entirely simple to care for. It is well known that tomatoes are very susceptible to molds, and therefore it is very important to take proper care of them—you should choose a suitable spray. However, that alone will not satisfy you. It is also very important to choose the right fertilizer that will support the plant’s vigor, flower setting and fruit growth. What homemade fertilizer and spray are best for your tomatoes?

June

When June arrives, you need to spray the plant with this spray, which will promote the growth and flowering of the tomatoes, and at the same time protect the plants from the first spring molds that occur in humid weather. Mix 10 drops of iodine with 9 liters of warm water and stir. Then pour a little water into a small bowl, to which add 1.5 tablespoons of boric acid. When the acid and water are thoroughly combined, pour it into the first solution and then add 1 liter of milk to everything. Thanks to this spray, your tomatoes will be protected from molds and root rot in rainy weather, and it will also provide the necessary substances for growth and a sweet tomato flavor.

Spraying frequency

With this spray, always spray only the tomato leaves; do not use it as a soil drench. Treat the tomatoes for the first time when the buds of the first flower clusters appear. Spray the second time when the plants have a large number of flowers, and then apply the spray a third time. The last application is carried out when fruits begin to appear. Then completely stop using the spray so you consume entirely clean fruit without any introduced substances. This is the period when the tomatoes are no longer at risk, so you can stop using it without any problems. Also remember that you should not spray tomatoes during very hot weather or while they are in the sun. On warm days, choose early morning or late evening hours instead.
