Orchids have been enjoying spots on our windowsills in recent years. They are a beautiful tropical plant that decorates many a home. If you want one too, don’t be afraid to get one. It’s said that growing an orchid is very difficult, but believe me, even a beginner can manage it. Mistakes are made when growing orchids, but at worst the orchid will stop blooming, so we’d like to reveal a method that will ensure your orchid blooms again. All you need for that is garlic. Don’t be surprised — even a small child knows how powerful garlic is; it’s a white treasure with beneficial properties. Garlic will help orchids bloom faster.
Your orchid will bloom like never before
If you want your orchid to bloom again and preferably to bloom much more, prepare a garlic bath that will promote lush flowering. Garlic will provide the plant with many important nutrients that it needs. To prepare it you will only need water and garlic.
How to prepare the nutrient solution
- Water one liter
- Garlic three cloves
Boil the water and let it cool completely. Then peel the garlic and crush it or chop it into small pieces. Put the garlic into the cold water and let it stand for at least one day, preferably in a dark place.
Method of use
Then pour the garlic infusion into a bowl and place the orchid in it as well. Let the orchid’s roots absorb the liquid and after about an hour remove it and let it drip in the tub. Feed the plants this way every month. Definitely do not use the garlic water more than once a month.
One last piece of advice
You really don’t need to be afraid of growing an orchid; it’s not difficult and it will surely grow even for a complete beginner. When you buy one, also choose a spot where the sun doesn’t shine directly, so a south-facing windowsill won’t be ideal. An orchid can tolerate some sun for a while, but not constantly. Ideally place it on the other side of the house on a windowsill. In such conditions it’s warm during the day and cool at night, which the orchid requires. Also give it a watering with settled water once every nine days. Simply immerse the orchid in the water again, let it soak, and then let it drip dry — that’s all.
