Try beekeeping cheaply
If you want to try what it’s like to be a beekeeper but don’t know whether you’ll want to stay one, this variant of building a hive is absolutely ideal for you. You will save the vast majority of the money you would otherwise have to spend on buying beehives. You can also use this method if you don’t intend to become a professional beekeeper and plan to keep bees only for the benefit of yourself and your family. In such a situation this solution can be suitable. But if you want to keep many bees and sell your own honey, it’s better to invest money in a real beehive that will look better and won’t put off your customers. The hive is very easy to assemble and will fit even in a small space.
Building a beehive
On a board 1 – 1.5 cm thick, mark 12 equally spaced points where you will later place the jars. The distance between the individual points should be 10 centimeters. Make holes at the points so that the jars fit into them perfectly. Then just place the jars with metal rims into the wooden board. Fasten everything thoroughly with screws so that your hive doesn’t fall apart. If the holes under the jars are too large, secure them so the jars full of honey don’t slip down. Then just coat the wood with a suitable varnish or paint and you’re done. You can enjoy the honey and the bees even in the smallest garden. You don’t need any huge area for a hive.
