Every day we must face dangerous toxins and harmful substances that are everywhere around us. They enter our body mainly through inhalation and food. If there is a large amount of them or they have been in our body for a long time, they can cause genetic changes and various illnesses. That is why it is useful to treat yourself to a bowel detox at least once in a while.

Prepare a detox drink

The recipe for the detox drink is very simple but effective. You will need only a few ingredients. With daily consumption, the condition of your intestines and your body in general will improve significantly. You will need:

  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon of flax seeds
  • 1 apple
  • 1 cup of water

First peel the apple and cut it into very small pieces. Remove the core and seeds. Put the apple pieces, the water and the honey into a blender and blend well. There should be no larger pieces in the mixture. Finally add the chia and flax seeds and blend lightly once more. Drink the beverage once a day on an empty stomach.

Why undergo the treatment?

This drink cleans the colon and eliminates any inflammation. Alongside the cleansing treatment you should follow a healthy diet and avoid excessive consumption of carbohydrates and sugar. At the same time you should never starve. The whole treatment should last about twenty days, during which you can, depending on your diet, lose up to ten excess kilograms.

Chia seeds are considered a so‑called superfood. They are a source of high‑quality proteins, omega‑3 and omega‑6 fatty acids. They also contain a lot of fiber and are rich in antioxidants. When consumed, even a small amount can induce a feeling of satiety. People have known about the beneficial effects of flaxseed since the Middle Ages. They are full of calcium, magnesium, iron and folic acid. They help keep cholesterol balanced and assist in controlling blood sugar levels. They are also pleasant in taste – they slightly resemble nuts.
