Many people are afraid of preparing meat pies, but there is definitely no reason to be, because they simply taste great when you make them correctly. And today’s recipe is absolutely excellent. All relatives and guests will like the pie, because it not only tastes great, but also looks amazing. You don’t need anything complicated to make it and the preparation is also very simple. Just bear in mind that you need about 10 to 15 minutes for preparation and 40 minutes for baking.
What will you need?
The ingredients for making a meat pie with boiled eggs are neither complicated nor expensive and there aren’t too many of them. Prepare:
- 650 g minced meat
- 6 eggs
- puff pastry
- 50 g mozzarella
- 15 g garlic
- 35 g parsley
- salt to taste
- ground black pepper to taste.
Once you have everything at hand, you can boldly start cooking. Don’t hesitate, because you will certainly delight your family and they will be enthusiastic about the food. As a side dish you can choose mashed potatoes or a light salad.
Method of preparation
First of all, prepare the minced meat and eggs in time. You will need minced pork, the same as for meatballs or dumplings, and 4 hard-boiled eggs. Add one raw egg to the minced meat and salt and pepper to taste. Wash, chop and add the parsley and garlic to the mixture. This will give the pie a great aroma. Then mix everything thoroughly. Slice the mozzarella. You will need about 9 slices.
Now prepare the puff pastry. Roll it out on baking paper and spread half of the minced meat in the center. On it place five slices of cheese and four hard-boiled eggs, which you cover with another layer of cheese. From the remaining minced meat make several smaller patties and cover the prepared filling with them. The entire filling must be hidden under the meat. Make 6 diagonal cuts on each side of the dough and fold them over each other like a braid. Brush the pie with beaten egg. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 30 minutes. Enjoy your meal!
