Do you want only the best for your children? Of course you do. In that case you should not give them store-bought jam, because it is full of sugar and preservatives that are not good for any human body. And that applies twice as much to children. Fortunately, to prepare today’s amazing homemade jam recipe you need nothing else but ripe fruit. See how easy it is. We promise there is no simpler method of preparation and you’ll have a supply of wonderful jam ready in a few minutes.

What will you need?

It may seem unbelievable, but to prepare this recipe you need nothing other than perfectly ripe and sweet apricots. You don’t need any preservatives or any sugar. Not only does this make the production very simple, but also inexpensive and the resulting product is very healthy. It will last you a long time because you will preserve the jam in the classic way and you can enjoy it at breakfast for a really long time. Besides, your children will surely be grateful. For the preparation, prepare only:

  • apricots,
  • sterile glass jars.

Method of preparation

Ready for an extremely simple production of an amazing, smooth and naturally sweet jam? Great. As we have already said, you don’t need any sugar. The only thing you must pay attention to is buying well-ripened apricots, which you then wash thoroughly, remove the pits from and simmer in a pot. After a while, mash them a bit with an immersion blender and continue cooking.

Once the apricots are nicely cooked down, pour them into sterilized glass jars, attach the lid and turn them upside down. Leave them like this until the mixture cools. During the first 24 hours you should turn the jars three times so the mixture expels any air that might be present. You don’t need to add any water to the mixture; the cooked fruit alone is more than enough. Because there is no sugar or preservatives in it, you don’t have to feel guilty when you give the jam to your children for breakfast.
