The toilet bowl is a place where we spend a lot of time. It is therefore necessary to keep it clean so that you do not have health problems. Almost every one of us has encountered the problem that the toilet may be clean, but it is not the perfection from advertisements and every now and then dirt is still found. So how do you clean the toilet so that it is perfectly clean?

It depends on whether you have hard or soft water

Unfortunately, in households with hard water a problem with limescale or rust can easily occur. Even soft water can have effects that are not desirable on the toilet. The valve may sooner or later stick and will not close. This is precisely connected to the fact that water flows into the toilet bowl itself and will only damage it.

In such a case you can manage with a simple trick used by plumbers and also by home DIYers who do not want to waste precious time washing the toilet bowl. You will not need any expensive tools and the procedure is very simple. Just remove the toilet lid, drain the water and after cleaning the walls of the tank with a toilet brush pour vinegar into it, about halfway. Let the vinegar act like this for at least 3–4 hours, even better overnight. The inside of the toilet after regular cleaning will become snow-white and therefore rust and other dirt will disappear.

You can also use vinegar in the toilet bowl

Limescale is the most common problem of toilets. You can fight it with the vinegar we already mentioned. You can pour it directly into the toilet bowl; you do not even need to dilute it. Wait several hours, as with the toilet tank, and then use a brush. If you do not remove the limescale on the first try, you can repeat the procedure until the toilet is clean.

If even vinegar does not work, it is possible to remove limescale using sandpaper that must have a grit of 100 or higher. You can simply sand the deposits in the toilet, but be careful not to destroy the toilet, because most of them are made of porcelain. However, if you are careful, you will easily remove the limescale and the toilet will shine with cleanliness.
