Age, pregnancy and breastfeeding affect the appearance of a woman’s breasts. Although this topic is delicate, gravity is a problem that spares almost no woman. Usually, around the age of 40 the skin loses elasticity, the fat content begins to decrease and unsightly wrinkles form. As for the breasts, they begin to sag more and more downward. How can this be most effectively counteracted?
Exercise regularly
Do exercises that help you strengthen the pectoral muscles and maintain flexibility. One of the simplest exercises is to stand upright, press your palms together and push with them against each other. After a few seconds relax, rest and repeat nine more times. The well-known push-up is also a safe bet. If the men’s version with straight legs is too difficult for you, perform the women’s version with knees resting on the ground.
Lateral raises also contribute to breast firmness. You can use dumbbells or even two bottles of water. Lie on your back, bend your knees and press your shoulders toward your waist. Extend your arms with the dumbbells or bottles in front of you, inhale and, with your exhale, open your arms and lower them to the ground. The arms must form a right angle with the body. Repeat ten times. After each workout, don’t forget to stretch. Also eat plenty of vegetables and fruit and foods rich in protein, calcium, vitamins and minerals.
Don’t try to lose weight quickly
Keep your weight at approximately the same level. Radical weight loss will cause the breasts to shrink, become wrinkled and lose both fat content and elasticity. Try to drink at least two liters of water daily. Proper hydration will keep your skin supple and slow the formation of wrinkles. It will also benefit your complexion and hair, which will be healthier and more radiant.
You can also hydrate the breasts from the outside. Rub the skin with moisturizing creams and plant oils. Pomegranate seed oil, for example, is very suitable because it tightens and firms the skin. You won’t go wrong with aloe vera gel either. This amazing plant contains plenty of antioxidants that destroy harmful free radicals. Try massaging the breasts with the gel, leave it on for ten minutes and then rinse. Repeat five times a week.
Massage your breasts regularly
Regular massage generally increases the skin’s elasticity. It stimulates blood circulation and regenerates cellular tissues. For the massage, use some essential oil with beneficial effects. Ideal options are peppermint oil, lemongrass, fennel, rosemary or lavender essential oil. A few drops are enough to keep the skin supple and youthful. Perform the massage two to three times a week.
You can also use plant oils to massage the breasts. Rub the bust with coconut oil, grapeseed oil or olive oil. They are all rich in antioxidants and keep the skin supple. Daring and hardy women can try a massage with ice cubes. Massage the breasts and décolletage for one minute; the skin will become astonishingly firmer and tighter.
