Maybe your grandmother advised it because this home remedy used to be in fashion, however toothpaste should stay on the toothbrush, as it can cause unpleasant sensations on the skin and leave dark spots in the area. Benzoyl peroxide
This is one of the best-known ingredients for pimples because it destroys the bacteria that cause acne. Because it is quite active and can cause unpleasant sensations on the face, it’s best to use it with caution and after testing on the neck or forearm to see if any reactions occur. Therefore it’s best to choose a product that contains this ingredient and works as a topical treatment.
Salicylic acid
Another well-known acne-fighting ingredient that is very popular in topical treatments, cleansing soaps and even serums. Salicylic acid basically has anti-inflammatory effects, removes dead cells and can also treat cystic acne.
Pimple patch
Although it’s a recent trend, it’s a good option to get rid of a pimple from the previous day. In particular, pimple patches made from hydrocolloids can absorb moisture from the skin and draw it into a gel, thereby removing it from the skin’s surface.
