A resident of the Indian city of Ahmednagar, in the state of Maharashtra, who never had sexual intercourse because of a rare illness, gave birth to a child. The Daily Mail reports.

Rare disease

Revatio Bordawekarová claims she learned about her problem at the age of 22, when she first used a tampon. She could not insert it because of trembling hands and a narrowed vaginal opening. She did not tell anyone about it, not even a doctor.

Later Bordawekarová found a description of her symptoms on the internet and concluded that she has vaginismus – a pathological condition in which involuntary muscle contractions prevent any vaginal penetration.

In 2013 Bordawekarová met her future husband online. They married a year later. Only then did the woman tell her chosen one that she could not have sexual intercourse because of the condition.

Birth

The couple tried various methods to solve the problem, their last attempt was at the beginning of 2018, but everything was in vain. Eventually the spouses decided to have a child through artificial insemination (in vitro fertilization).

Despite the condition, Bordawekarová refused a caesarean section. In February she gave birth to a daughter. The woman noticed that during childbirth the vaginismus weakened, and she hopes that now she will be able to have sexual intercourse.

In 2018 a report appeared that an elementary school teacher from the U.S. state of Florida managed to cure herself of a severe form of vaginismus that had prevented her from having sexual intercourse for 15 years. Exercises recommended by a doctor helped her.
