An American woman from Indiana found a strange wooden object at her front door. She photographed it and shared it online asking if anyone happened to know what it was.
However, no one had any idea what it could be.
“Try to tell me what it actually is. A vegetable, an animal, an alien hatchery? Is it meant to be a curse or a blessing?”
She wrote this alongside the photo.
She nicknamed the mysterious object, from which small twigs protruded, a “turkey foot”. She later even took it in a bag to show colleagues at the hospital.

But even they didn’t know what kind of wood it was, or what it could be.
Later she noticed that the stump was steaming.
When she came home from work, she forgot it in the car
When, a week later, she was driving the children to the library, her son warned her that there were worms on the back seat.
“At first I thought the kids had left some food tucked there again and something had hatched from it. But when my daughter screamed that there were an awful lot of them in the back of the car, we all jumped out,” she recounted.
Sudden surprise
Only then did she realize that the worms had hatched from the piece of wood she had forgotten in the car.
She and her husband then had to thoroughly clean the car. Later she found out that it was probably some kind of tropical plant.
