Is it because we don’t take care of hygiene properly? Or maybe we wash the underwear too rarely? Nothing is wrong — it’s a natural phenomenon that no woman should be afraid of.

The London Museum of Vagina recently decided to publish a photo that immediately sparked a passionate discussion. There were also comments from women who sighed with relief:
“Thank you for this explanation, I was very ashamed that my panties looked like this”, “My boyfriend asked me if I bleach my underwear”, “I saw a video on the internet where you can see a boy laughing at his partner’s discolored underwear.”
Color change on panties is caused by women’s physiology
The expert decided to dispel women’s doubts and explained that the color change on panties was caused by their physiology:
“Do you see light spots on dark underwear? That’s normal! The vagina is acidic and has a pH of 3.8-4.5 — acidic enough to bleach fabric. These are not stains from blood or vaginal discharge — the material has been bleached by a perfectly healthy vagina.”
