If you enjoy sweet spreads or fruit jams, you surely know how demanding and time-consuming their preparation is.
Creating the right jam is not easy
That’s why most of us leave it to grandmothers and mothers or we go to the store.
Store-bought jam, however, cannot compare to homemade, so today we bring a recipe for making homemade jam in a very short time. You don’t need to cook the jam for long or use any preservatives.
Ingredients
- 1 kg of fruit
- 1 kg of sugar
- 4 tablespoons of lemon juice
How to make it
- Wash the fruit; if you have cherries, sour cherries, or apricots, remove the pits.
- Place in a bowl, pour the sugar over it, and leave it in a cool place overnight.
- In the morning, place it on the stove and cook.
- When the mixture starts to boil, add the lemon juice and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Pour the jam into jars and seal with lids.
- Turn the jars upside down, wrap them in a towel, and leave them for several hours until they cool.
- The preserves will keep for a long time. This batch makes about 1 liter.
