Unfortunately, one of the unpleasant things associated with summer and being in nature is insects, which can make even the nicest moments quite unpleasant. Ubiquitous ants
Ants are insects that, unlike mosquitoes which primarily bother us, are more a nuisance to our homes. Especially if you live in a family house, you know what we mean: the kitchen is often their favorite place. You wash everything carefully, wipe the dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, store food in sealed containers, yet all your efforts are undone by ants that appear unexpectedly from time to time and make our lives unpleasant. The main problem is that these insects are not only annoying and repulsive, but also dangerous. They can infest your home with various harmful bacteria that they bring in. And that is a big reason to try to get rid of ants quickly and effectively.
Make your own remedy
Unfortunately, if ants take a liking to a place, it can be quite difficult to get rid of them. Although a large number of different products are available in stores, their effect is often only short-term and, moreover, most of these products contain a large amount of various chemical substances, some of which are even poisonous, so you may not want to use them at home too often. Especially if you have small children, pets, or generally in the kitchen, where the products could contaminate food.
But we will advise you on how to easily and simply prepare a gentle, natural, yet very effective remedy that will help you get rid of unwelcome guests once and for all. Its author is an inventive Russian retiree, Olga Pavlovna. The main ingredient of this effective preparation is clove oil. Simply drop a few drops of this oil in various places in the kitchen, especially into corners, and the ants will immediately disappear and will not return.
Clove – an effective weapon not only against ants
With the help of clove oil you can also prepare a simple solution with which you can wipe all kitchen surfaces and the insides of cabinets. Simply dissolve about five to six drops of oil in a glass of warm water. Then pour this solution onto cloths and you can start cleaning. With the help of the same solution you can also mop the floor. Why don’t ants like clove? The main reason is the toxic substance that clove contains, phenol.
From clove oil you can also easily make another preparation – a natural repellent for mosquitoes and ticks. Into a glass of water, simply add one teaspoon of clove oil, nutmeg, and ethanol and mix everything thoroughly. The repellent is completely natural and can be used by adults, small children, and your household pets.
