Pigmentation spots, sometimes also called liver spots, most often appear on the face, shoulders, arms and other body areas frequently exposed to the sun.

They usually appear in middle and older age, but their occurrence in relatively young people is not uncommon. Some people sometimes call such skin discoloration age spots.

However, this naming is inaccurate, because they do not arise only as a result of aging, but mainly as a consequence of long-term exposure to the sun and its ultraviolet (UV) rays. From a medical point of view they are not a problem, as they do not pose a threat to health. From an aesthetic point of view, however, they can of course be a problem for many people.

Today we offer you a purely natural recipe that helps remove the top layer of skin where these formations occur. Some of its ingredients also slightly lighten the skin, thus helping to even out its coloration.

Ingredients:

To make the peeling mask you will need:

  • 1/2 cup of brown rice
  • 1 tablespoon of agave syrup
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice

Preparation and application:
  • Grind the brown rice into a fine powder. You can use, for example, a coffee grinder for this.
  • Combine all the ingredients and mix them until a homogeneous mixture forms.
  • Make sure the area where you will apply the mask is well washed and dry.
  • After applying the mask, gently massage the skin in circular motions while applying slight pressure.
  • Do this for 1 to 2 minutes, then rinse the mask off with water.
  • Afterwards, treat the skin with the cream you normally use.
  • Repeat the procedure regularly; it is recommended at least once a week.

Warning

This mask is intended for the skin of the whole body except the face, which is more sensitive. If you want to apply it to the face, you should be more careful with the lemon juice, as it can irritate it. In this case, instead of 1 tablespoon of lemon juice use only 1 teaspoon and add a little water to the mask. This way the mask will be milder, less concentrated and therefore gentler on the facial skin.
