Mrs. Helena S. shared a great tip on the internet that I had to try right away on my orchid.
You may not believe it, mine bloomed too .
Although not after two years like the one Mrs. Helenka showed, I’m still extremely delighted with it!
The orchid received a shock feeding!
I had never used such fertilizing before; I always used only the store-bought ones.
However, I must admit that even the sticks didn’t work that quickly.
It is also important to say that you should feed the orchid like this after the rest period – approx. 3 months after flowering.
Then this feeding stimulates the orchid to bloom again.
If you tried to make an orchid that only recently finished blooming and is in a resting phase bloom, it would exhaust itself unnecessarily .
Also do not forget to remove all old, dry, rotten roots.
Just one watering was enough
All you have to do is mix sugar water.
There’s no science to it, nor any trick.
Sugar in water is a stimulant for the orchid and can kick-start it into a flowering period.
Often such nourishment is enough to use only once – or possibly twice with a sufficient time interval.
I recommend choosing a 2-week interval.
How to proceed?
We will need:
- Boiled water
- Sugar
How to do it:
1l of water and a tablespoon of granulated sugar.
Let it stand overnight and water it the next day .
Some orchids take longer, others a shorter time; I, however, recommend this feeding wholeheartedly.
