How to crack an egg
Unlike the traditional cracking of eggs using a knife or the rim of a bowl, the best way is to crack the egg on a flat surface of the table. With this method the risk of small pieces of shell falling into the food is minimal.

The simplest and probably most effective way is to do it with your own hands. Crack the egg into a bowl, gently take the yolk while the white runs through your fingers.

After cooking, tap the egg on all sides and place it into cold water to cool. Then you can peel it off with ease.

If the egg sinks to the bottom, it is fresh. If it lifts one edge, it is about 1 week old. When it floats to the surface, you are dealing with a spoiled egg.
