Cracked heels are a fairly common health complication that can be merely a cosmetic problem, but often a painful condition.
Regardless, cracked heels are visible and unpleasant, so they do not add much to a person’s self-confidence. This is especially true in situations when you have exposed feet – whether in summer or even in winter, for example at the swimming pool.
Most common foot problems:
- dry and cracked skin
- corns and calluses in the form of yellow or brown colored areas
- redness
- itching
- skin inflammations
- cracking and peeling of the skin
It is therefore very important to take care of your feet and not consider it at first just a harmless cosmetic problem. For it actually worsens over time, as the skin cracks, the splits deepen and later lead to pain or even bleeding.
Cracked skin on the heels, but also other parts of the feet, is the result of several factors. The most common causes include: improper foot care, poor diet, aging, dry air, lack of moisture, prolonged standing on hard floors, and finally wearing improper footwear.
In addition, the mentioned problem can be caused by other diseases, such as diabetes, eczema, psoriasis or thyroid disease. In today’s article we will reveal a simple home remedy on how to easily and relatively quickly remove this problem with cracked heels, corns or calluses.
For this treatment you will need the following items:
- 10 acylpyrin tablets (acetylsalicylic acid) crushed into a powder
- 250 ml of 70% rubbing alcohol
- cotton, gauze pads or a bandage
- cellophane wrap (for example typical kitchen food wrap)
- socks
To carry out the treatment every evening for 15 days, follow the steps below:
1) Mix the powder from the acylpyrin tablets with the alcohol and let the solution stand in a glass bottle for 1 to 2 days.
2) Before use, shake the bottle with the alcohol and aspirin mixture well.
3) Slightly moisten the cotton, gauze pads or bandage in the mixture and apply them to the affected skin.
4) Wrap your feet in the cellophane wrap and then put on socks over that.
5) Leave it on overnight.
6) In the morning wash your feet with water and dry them well with a towel. Then apply glycerin or some oily cream to the feet.
It might also help if, before applying the cream, you remove the loosened dead top layer of skin using a skin scraper.
After approximately 10 to 15 days of applying the treatment your cracked heels, corns and calluses should completely disappear.
The mentioned treatment can also be used for varicose veins. In such a case, this virtually miraculous remedy should eliminate pain already after the first few applications.
