When washing, clothes should be left to dry. And how should this be done? Most people dry laundry outside. However, this is not the best solution, because there are many problems. What are they? Let’s look at their list together. You will suddenly realize that this is not the most ideal for your clothes, but the worst. So what should you avoid?
Children and animals
Children and their pets like to play outside. If you dry clothes outside in the garden, it’s not unusual for them to run through them. Not only can they soil them, but they can also accidentally pull them off the line onto the ground. In both cases it’s clear that they need to be washed again.
Neighbors
If you have good relations with your neighbors, everything is perfectly fine. Otherwise you can expect them to find various ways to harm you. One of them is that they may deliberately throw different kinds of dirt on your clothes. If they have access to it, they can easily pull it down to the ground. And they will excuse themselves by saying the wind caused it.
Rain
When planning to dry clothes, pay attention to the weather forecast. And do so very carefully. Rain is your big enemy, and when it starts to rain, garments are not only wet but often dirty as well. And they can all be washed again.
Sun rays
In the sun your clothes really dry very quickly. However, remember that sunlight also has its downsides. You may find that your clothes will fade more quickly. If you want to preserve color intensity, we recommend not drying clothes outside.
Odors
Even though it may not seem so at first glance, the outdoor air is full of odors. From cars, factories, the neighbor’s barbecues, or smells from the fields. All these substances are later absorbed by the individual fibers of the garment. After drying it definitely won’t smell as fresh as you would expect.
Insects
They are all around us and there are many of them. And insects can soil your clothes very quickly. They can be wasps, mosquitoes, but also flies, which later create small stains that are clearly visible on light-colored clothing. So you have another big problem with your clothes.
