How to exercise and lose weight?

New Year’s resolutions still apply, so incorporate exercise into your daily life. A few minutes a day will help kickstart all your muscles and shape a perfect figure. In addition to exercising, follow a diet rich in fruit, vegetables, and protein.

These exercises will help you lose weight by summer, gain muscle mass, and achieve the desired figure. Moreover, you will also prevent health problems. It’s enough to exercise a few times a week and you’ll be happy with your body by summer.

Push-ups

The push-up, also called “kliky”, isn’t among the easiest exercises, but it works the abdominal muscles and, of course, the arm muscles. Your overall physical fitness will improve.

How to do it?

Get on all fours and remain supported on your knees. Place your hands shoulder-width apart and slowly lower yourself down. Start with modified push-ups, which means on your knees. When you go down, go more slowly, and when you push up with your arms, it should be a quicker thrust.

Burpees

Burpees, or the Slovak “angličáky”, are a more demanding exercise that has several phases. They help you get rid of excess belly fat.

How to do it?

From a standing position, quickly lie down on the ground, then immediately get back up with a jump upward.

How to do it?

How to do it?

Start by lying on a mat, bending your legs with your feet firmly on the floor. Place your hands behind your head. Now lift yourself toward your knees. Hold briefly and then return to the starting position. Repeat this several times according to your sets.

Plank

The plank is the most common exercise performed when trying to lose excess weight. In this exercise, the forearms and abdomen bear all the weight. This exercise is suitable not only for the abs, but also for overall strengthening of the shoulders and spine.

How to do it?

Again, get into a position on your toes, but this time rest on your elbows. Keep them parallel and shoulder-width apart. Lift your whole body so that all the weight is on your forearms. Stay in this position for approximately 30 seconds and gradually increase the time.

Sumo squats

Sumo squats will help you get rid of even the most stubborn belly fat.

How to do it?

Start by getting into a squat with your legs placed wider than shoulder-width apart. Position them at a 45-degree angle. Now squat down to a 90-degree angle and keep your hands under your chin. Repeat this.

Sprinter sit-ups

How to do it?

Lie on the ground and let your arms rest beside your body. Then quickly lift your torso up together with your right leg and left arm. Perform a movement similar to running. Repeat the movement again but with the opposite sides. Remember to perform the exercise at a steady tempo.

Lie on the ground with your arms beside your body. Place your hands behind your head and interlock your fingers. Lift your legs so they are perpendicular to the floor.
