Are you horrified by a dirty washing machine teeming with bacteria? Are you afraid that because of deposits you’ll be pulling out dirty laundry and all the washing will be wasted? Don’t wait until cleaning the washing machine is literally an emergency — clean it regularly.

I’ll show you how to do it properly so your washing machine is perfectly clean in just a few minutes!

The washing machine may be very clever and may cost you a lot of money, but even if it handles many functions, it cannot clean itself.

If you neglect its cleaning, you’ll cause it to not only start to smell badly over time, but it may also happen that the laundry won’t be washed as well as you’d expect. And it takes so little — clean your washing machine regularly and don’t wait until the dirt is blatantly visible.

Perfectly clean washing machine in a few minutes — here’s how!
Cleaning a washing machine isn’t rocket science, yet I’m happy to share my proven method that I’ve relied on for years and have never had a single problem with the machine. And if you clean it really regularly, it won’t take you more than a few minutes.

How to clean the sealing gasket

It is usually in the sealing gasket that the biggest dirt hides, which you typically won’t notice unless you pull the gasket back a little. To clean the sealing gasket around the drum, prepare a solution made from half a liter of water and one tablespoon of citric acid, which you surely have at home because it’s handy for many things. Dip a dish sponge into this mixture and thoroughly clean the gasket along its entire length. You’ll get rid of not only dirt but also mold.

How to clean the detergent dispenser

Another trouble spot is the drawer that houses the detergent dispenser. We pour in not only fabric softener but also add washing powder here, so it’s no wonder dirt accumulates in this place too. You can easily clean it using lemon juice: soak a dish sponge in it and wash the drawer with it. You’ll remove accumulated detergent residues and limescale, which often forms here.

How to remove limescale

Limescale is a big nuisance for a washing machine, and it needs to be fought regularly. Here I also have a tip for you: sprinkle 200 g of citric acid into the detergent drawer and then run a program at 60 ° C. Thanks to this method you will effectively get rid of limescale, which, if underestimated, could cause quite a mess.
