Cleaning a regular stove can take many hours of a person’s time and energy. All areas, such as the knobs and other similarly accessible spots, require care and certainly very strong nerves.

Homemade cleaner

To make the job easier, we bring you a perfect tip on how to clean hard-to-reach places without effort and an entire arsenal of cleaning products. This method helped me a lot and I cleaned my old stove immediately!

What we will need

  • cotton swabs
  • Ammonia (ammonia water) – can be easily purchased at a drugstore
  • cotton swabs
  • An old toothbrush

Instructions

Always work with ammonia wearing gloves. Dip cotton swabs in ammonia and simply wipe the dirty areas so that the ammonia gets onto their surface.
Then take the toothbrush and simply clean. You can see for yourself how simply and quickly it will go. Finally wipe with a damp cloth and that’s it. The stove will be like new!
Knobs that can be removed I soak in a mixture of water, dish soap and dissolved dishwasher tablets (you can also use laundry powder). I let it soak and then simply clean them.

It also works on cast-iron burners and grates!

You only need ammonia and a plastic bag. Take a plastic resealable bag and add 5 tablespoons of ammonia to it.
Then put the grate or burner into it, seal it and let it sit for 12 hours. Finally simply wipe it with a cloth and you’re done. But when doing this work, use gloves.
