Healthy diet and lifestyle are the two most important principles for maintaining a healthy liver. Today, however, we live fast lives that directly lead us into unhealthy habits such as consuming fast food, alcohol, or other harmful substances. This then leaves a large amount of toxins in our bodies.
Liver cleansing
Why is it necessary to cleanse the liver regularly?
To maintain overall health it is essential to regularly take care of your liver, which is the body’s main detoxifying organ.
Only when the liver performs its functions properly can the body carry out its other vital functions such as metabolism or hormone production without problems.
For this reason it is necessary to detoxify it at least from time to time.
Today we will reveal a recipe for a drink that very effectively can not only rid your liver of accumulated impurities, but also support its regeneration.
This will enable it to fully perform all its functions again.
The reason why it is necessary to detoxify the liver even if you do not feel any symptoms is that liver diseases are among the so‑called silent illnesses.
In other words, the liver usually does not hurt. It only starts to hurt when it may already be too late.
Cleansing the liver is a very simple process that you can carry out with the following natural drink.
Recipe for liver cleansing
- juice of 2 lemons
- juice of 2 oranges
- a handful of mint leaves
- 1 liter of plain still water
- 4 to 5 teaspoons of honey (preferably organic)
Instructions
Pour the water into a pot and bring to a boil. Then add the mint leaves and simmer them for 5 minutes.
Next, turn off the heat and let the decoction cool.
Finally add the lemon juice, orange juice and honey. Stir everything well so that the honey dissolves.
Pour the drink into a glass bottle and keep it in the refrigerator.
Usage
For a regular liver cleanse, drinking just one glass of this drink is sufficient. For a thorough cleanse, drink the entire 1 liter over the course of the day.
In more serious conditions, repeat the course 3 to 4 times within one week.
