Today almost every second person owns a car.
Some boast a luxury car, others settle for a simpler model, but one rule applies to all drivers – obeying the traffic rules.
Unfortunately, as many photos and videos from roads and highways show, not every driver respects these rules. The consequences of accidents can then be catastrophic and affect the lives of all involved.
How well do you know the rules of the road?
We have prepared a driving school test for you that will check your knowledge and your ability to correctly assess a situation at an intersection. Your task is to determine the correct order in which the vehicles will leave the intersection.
Look at the following situation:
- There are three cars at the intersection: red, blue, and green.
- All vehicles are approaching the intersection from different directions.
Correct order in which the vehicles will leave the intersection
The order of departure of the vehicles is given by the right-hand rule, which means that priority goes to the vehicle arriving from the right.
- Blue car – passes behind the red car, which has already entered the intersection, and will be the first to leave the intersection.
- Green car – has a clear path once the blue car departs.
- Red car – will leave last, because it must yield to both other vehicles.
Conclusion
The correct order of departure of the vehicles from the intersection is therefore: blue, green, red. The right-hand rule still applies! Following this simple rule can significantly contribute to road safety and prevent unnecessary accidents. And how about you? Did you answer correctly, or did you get confused?
