It is very rare for a homeless person to end up with a pile of money. Everyone expects them to spend it on food or alcohol. But this woman is different.
Experiment
The YouTube channel K3TV has its own recipe for media success. It captures viewers’ attention by placing ordinary people in extraordinary situations and then watching how they react.
Unlike other channels that try to do the same, however, it is mostly not about stupid pranks and the subsequent ridiculing of the person involved.
In this case, a homeless woman was given a wad of banknotes and they watched how she would spend the money.
What happened
One summer day a young man approached a lonely woman and struck up a conversation with her. He learned that she had been arguing with her little son on the street as best she could.
She says she has no job or place to live. The man then pulled out a nice bundle of dollars and gave it to the woman, who couldn’t believe her luck.
After a bit of persuasion, however, she believed him and thanked her benefactor with a hug.
What did the woman buy first?
It was a YouTuber who gave her $283 and continued to watch her with a hidden camera to find out what she would do with the money.
She first had a small ice cream at a café and then went to a big store.
What happened next will shock you
She looked around and tried on various things, but the hidden camera showed that in the end she didn’t buy anything.
She left the store and headed to an animal shelter. For a while she disappeared from the YouTubers’ sight.
It took a full 45 minutes before the woman appeared, and to the surprise of onlookers she was holding a small white puppy in her arms.
Surprised YouTuber
The astonished YouTuber called out to her, but the woman, who had no idea she was being watched the whole time, did not react immediately. She then went straight up to him to ask why she hadn’t bought what she needed but had spent the money on a puppy.
It took the surprised woman a moment to answer. She explained that clothes, jewelry and food are simply things one can do without, but a dog is a friend and it’s hard to live without one.
The show’s writer never in his dreams imagined that it would come to such a conclusion. He went with her to the store and bought some things for her four-legged friend. In the end he gave her more money, which she accepted with great gratitude.
