How pleasant and cozy a home can you build? This question was asked by Claudia Dubreuil de Mirabel from Quebec, Canada. She then tried to put her idea into practice and the result is guaranteed to shock.
Luxury housing built from containers
This girl decided to create her dream home from just four shipping containers. At first she had to consult experts to find out whether and how she could carry it out. After long planning she could finally get to work. The biggest challenge was considered to be importing, cutting out and assembling the individual containers, but the real struggle was turning these four metal boxes into something amazing.
But this house has everything you could need:
- Modern custom-made kitchen
- Spacious bathroom
- Outdoor terrace with a shower
- Cozy and luxurious living room
That’s far from all
This multi-storey dwelling has many other rooms, electricity, water,… Simply everything you need for everyday life. Building a house from containers is not very common, but if the basic structure costs only a few tens of thousands of crowns, who would refuse.
Dream house
The three-storey house clad in light wood is fully insulated, so even though it is built only from containers, it is not cold inside. Against strong gusts of wind it is anchored to the ground using concrete plinths and elegant columns that hold these boxes together. This gem is located on an elevated spot in the middle of beautiful countryside, where no neighbor will wake you in the morning. Just step out the door and fresh air and plenty of forests await you.
A driveway leads to the house and a car can park here too. So if you want to live in this beautiful residence, it will certainly be cheaper than a regular house and the residence’s design is surely stunning.
