Science has proven more than once that our body is a finely tuned mechanism in which everything is connected. When something happens in one part of the body, it can suddenly affect another part at the opposite end. Few people know, however, that the mouth can be connected to the heart or even the palm.

Endocarditis is an inflammation of the membrane of heart cells and valves

It occurs when bacteria, fungi and other microbes from one part of the body enter the bloodstream and reach the heart, where they infect it!

This diagnosis struck a 27-year-old resident of Canada.

What symptoms did he have?

The man complained of abdominal pain, high fever, night sweats and loss of appetite.

Most interestingly, he had a painful aneurysm on his palm.

At first doctors could not understand why this young man might be suffering from endocarditis, but when they asked him about events in recent weeks, everything began to fall into place…

The young man’s blood analysis revealed the presence of Streptococcus salivarius. It is a bacterium commonly found in the mouth.

The patient was also found to have dead tissue in the spleen and in the left kidney, as well as infected material on the aortic valve of the heart.

It turned out that the man had undergone a routine dental procedure during which the bacteria entered his bloodstream.

They attacked the spleen, kidneys, heart and the vessels in his hand.

The spread of bacteria throughout the body led to terrible consequences

Fortunately, antibiotics helped control the bacterial infection. Almost all conditions were cured except for the heart disease. Surgery was necessary to restore the heart valve.

As you can see, even a routine trip to the dentist put a young and healthy person on the operating table.

If you don’t want to suffer and waste a lot of money unnecessarily, never ignore unusual symptoms in your body! It doesn’t matter whether it’s a hand or a foot – even an unusual growth on the palm could mean a heart attack!

Remember: everything in the body is connected, so if something doesn’t feel right, you should by no means delay visiting a doctor!
