How to prepare cardamom tincture
To make the tincture you will need only a few ingredients that you may already have at home:
Ingredients
- 3 grams of cardamom seeds
- 3 lemons
- 3 liters of quality alcohol with an alcohol content of at least 60 %
- 1–3 tablespoons of honey
Procedure
- Crush the cardamom seeds in a mortar and pour them into a jar.
- Add the alcohol and the freshly squeezed juice of three lemons.
- Seal the jar tightly and let the mixture steep in a dark, warm place for two weeks.
- After this time, strain the tincture through cheesecloth or a fine sieve and add honey so that everything blends well.
- Pour the liquid into smaller bottles and let it rest for a few more months so it can absorb all the active compounds.

For maximum effect it is ideal to take the tincture 3 times a day at 5 ml each. This will help you maintain a strong immune system and provide prevention against infections. You can also apply it externally, e.g. to minor skin problems such as cold sores or dandruff.
