Ingredients
To prepare this homemade elixir you will need:
- 0,5 kg red or purple onions
- 2 glasses (500 ml) of maple syrup or 0,5 kg of cane sugar
- 2 medium-sized lemons
- 6 glasses (1,5 liters) of water
- 7 tablespoons of honey
Preparation
- Pour the maple syrup into a pot and heat it over low heat.
- If you are using cane sugar, pour it into a larger pot and, stirring constantly, heat it until it turns golden brown.
- Add the pre-sliced onion to the heated syrup or melted sugar and simmer it briefly.
- Add the water, bring the mixture to a boil and cook until about one third of the liquid has evaporated.
- Remove the mixture from the heat and let it cool.
- Then add freshly squeezed lemon juice and honey. Mix everything thoroughly.
- Let the elixir sit overnight.
- In the morning, strain the liquid into glass bottles and store in the refrigerator.
Dosage
Adults should take 1 tablespoon of the elixir before each meal. After consuming the entire dose, prepare a new batch and continue using it until your condition improves.
Children are advised to take 1 teaspoon before each meal.
