That time of the month, when women, colloquially speaking, are on edge? Definitely on their days! Menstruation is bleeding that occurs during the menstrual cycle, when a woman should pay attention to her body and mental state. For men this period of the month may be a reason for complaints when meeting friends, but in reality women face many difficulties during these days. Above all it concerns abdominal and head pain, fatigue or a hormonal imbalance causing mood swings, excessive sensitivity, irritability, even depression or aggression. For this reason it is appropriate to avoid certain activities during menstruation.

1.    Cooking

Why should a woman spend less time in the kitchen during her „days“: She simply risks injury, because emotional strain during menstruation leads to less attention. During these days cuts are more common, but the surroundings cannot be calm either, so women should spend as little time in the kitchen as possible.

2.    Talking on the phone

Why not use the mobile phone too much during menstruation? Women who have recently gone through a breakup should be on guard, because hormones can cause the person to call their ex. Seeking comfort during these days is due to loneliness and hormonal imbalance. In any case it is advisable to watch your emotions during menstruation, not only in relation to former loves.

3.    Excessive exercise

Some women have a bloated stomach or are generally swollen due to water retention during menstruation. However, this is not a reason to double the training dose or do two-a-day workouts. On the contrary, it is better to let the body rest and use the power of herbs to calm the body and mind.

4.    Watching romantic comedies

Menstruation rules emotions and mood changes, so watching TV is a good idea to relax. However, romantic comedies are not the most suitable genre, because they can literally cause an emotional storm. Believe it: the story is purely fictional and the actors are just following a script, it has nothing to do with reality and everyday life!

5.    Eating chocolate and sweets

Does menstruation equal time for sweets? An urgent craving does not justify eating a whole jar of Nutella; the period will pass, but the extra kilos will stay!

6.    Arguing

We are not talking about palm reading, but quarrels with a partner or colleagues at work. During the stormy period of menstruation it is better to make yourself an herbal tea and spend your free time with a book in hand. Later you may feel regret for the words said and the hurtful phrases that came out during an argument in an emotionally tense period.

7.    Getting up early

Do you feel so bad and have the sense that the whole day will be worthless? Better not get up and stay in bed with tea and a good book. Put on some music or amuse yourself with creating. If you really don’t have to, then stay calm at home.

8.    Cleaning

Everything hurts, you feel awful, but is it time to mop, vacuum, do laundry or wash the dishes? No! Simply don’t worry about cleaning during these days and wait until a more suitable moment to get the household back in order.

9.    Overthinking

The body hurts and you feel miserable — does your brain have to suffer too?
