1. Hot shower

Warm water has a relaxing effect, but if we take it in the morning, we’ll want to crawl back into bed. A cold shower is much better in this case.

It refreshes, stimulates brain activity and also improves immunity.

Cold water dries the skin less and, according to research, people who shower with cold water lose almost 5 kilograms per year.

2. Prolonged checking of your mobile phone

The first thing you do in the morning is check your phone? We’re tempted by social networks, but also work emails. It’s time to stop wasting time watching other people’s lives, commenting and reading other people’s opinions, stressing about work… Let’s start living our own life! The morning is much better spent with favorite music, spending time with family, or preparing tasty and nutritious breakfasts.

3. Wasting time choosing an outfit

You stand in front of an open wardrobe and don’t know what to put on… An hour of pondering turns into chaos when you iron a blouse you won’t wear anyway and nothing matches. Meanwhile, it’s enough to simplify your closet following the example of famous people. Steve Jobs of Apple used to wear a combination of jeans and a black T-shirt, which he treated as his work uniform. First of all, divide your wardrobe into work and leisure sections. In the work section there should only be pieces appropriate for that environment. Always washed, ironed and ready to wear. Regularly check your wardrobe and get rid of items you no longer wear. Life will also be easier if you separate clothing by season. In winter you probably won’t need summer dresses.

4. Cereals for breakfast

A typical portion of cereals (about 50 grams) contains approximately four tablespoons of sugar. A lot of sugar first thing in the morning causes insulin to be released into the blood. When the sugar is processed, we feel tired and lethargic. Milk, yogurt and fresh fruit also become unhealthy because of cereals, as the amount of sugar increases even more.

As Chelsey Amer says, it’s healthier to have a triangle of pizza for breakfast instead of a bowl of cereal. Pizza contains proteins, fats and sugars, so it can be considered a balanced breakfast. However, we must not eat more than one slice. This comparison may seem far-fetched; it’s mainly about the rational distribution of different types of food. For example, you can have scrambled eggs, cottage cheese or meat that doesn’t contain much fat.

5. Brushing teeth after breakfast

After eating, the enamel of our teeth is vulnerable, especially if breakfast included fruit, citrus or sweetened drinks. Citric acid and sugar erode the enamel. Instead of brushing, we should rinse our mouths with water and clean interdental spaces with floss.

You can brush your teeth with a toothbrush only after 30 minutes.

6. Drinking black coffee

Black coffee on an empty stomach raises cortisol levels, the stress hormone responsible, among other things, for feelings of anxiety. It is so irritating that it can lead to gastritis. The best time for a cup of coffee is 3 – 4 hours after waking. If you can’t imagine a morning without coffee, dilute it at least with milk or cream. This way you will reduce its negative effect on the stomach.

7. Making your bed

If you make the bed right after waking up, you create a great place for mold, because the grease and sweat from your body that remained on the sheet and blankets do not have time to evaporate. Therefore the best solution is to put the duvet on a chair and let the sheet and duvet dry.
