Most detox diets are based on fresh, uncooked foods and usually include a lot of fruits and vegetables.

However, detoxification is not only about toxins, but also about excess fat, accumulated water and other substances that can potentially be harmful to the human body.

The main purpose of detoxification is to improve overall health. In addition, it often also leads to weight loss, improvement of acne problems, or the removal of other skin complications.

In our article today we will show you a 3-day detox plan that was even approved by the well-known TV show doctor Dr. Oz.

Day 1

On the first day of this detox cure you should start with a cleansing tea made from the following ingredients: 1 serving of green tea, 1 wedge of lemon and the natural sweetener Stevia.

After the tea, prepare a breakfast smoothie in the blender made from the following ingredients:

  • 1 glass of water
  • 1 tablespoon of flaxseeds (preferably freshly ground)
  • 1 cup of raspberries
  • 1 banana
  • 1/4 cup of spinach
  • 1 tablespoon of almond butter
  • 2 teaspoons of fresh lemon juice

After the breakfast smoothie take half of a multivitamin and one probiotic supplement.

For lunch prepare the same smoothie as for breakfast, followed by the second half of the multivitamin and also a supplement containing omega-3 fatty acids (preferably cod liver oil).

For a snack have your favorite drink.

End the day not with dinner, but with a detox bath. To prepare it you need to add 2.5 cups (0.5 liters) of Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) to the bath water and 10 drops of lavender essential oil.

Day 2

On the morning of the second day do the same as during the first day.

First have the cleansing green tea with lemon and Stevia. Then prepare the smoothie, drink it and finally take 1/2 a multivitamin and a probiotic.

For lunch, prepare a lunchtime smoothie in the blender from the following ingredients:

  • 4 stalks of celery
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 cup of salad leaves
  • 1/2 green apple
  • 1/2 lime
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1 cup of pineapple
  • After lunch take the second half of the multivitamin and a supplement with omega-3 fatty acids.
  • For a snack, again drink your favorite beverage.

For dinner, then have the evening smoothie described in the “Day 3” section.

Similarly to the first day, on the second day also take a detox bath in the evening with Epsom salt and lavender oil.

Day 3

On the morning of the third day follow the same schedule as the previous two days. So start with tea, then the breakfast smoothie, half of the multivitamin and probiotics.

For lunch have the lunchtime smoothie listed in the “Day 2” section and later for a snack drink your favorite beverage.

For dinner prepare this evening smoothie from the following ingredients:

  • 1/2 mango
  • 1 cup of blueberries
  • 200 ml of coconut water
  • 1 cup of salad leaves
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne or chili spice
  • 1 tablespoon of flaxseeds (preferably freshly ground)
  • Also on the third day end with a detox bath with Epsom salt and lavender oil.

After 3 days you will feel really great – fresh and full of energy.

Therefore definitely try this detox cure. Remember that besides cleansing the body of toxins it will also get rid of some excess fat and accumulated water in the body.
