Many stains stick to pots and pans, making you often want to throw them away immediately, buy new ones and not even try to remove them. You certainly can’t remove all stains, but with the choice of the right agents you can remove even the very stubborn ones. You only need the right products and a bit of patience Therefore we give you three unique tips.

Try the one that will be best for you:

  • laundry detergent and salt,
  • baking soda,
  • soap and steel wool.

Washing powder and salt

This combination is ideal for removing grease from the bottom of a pan. After frying it is common for the bottom of the pan to be completely yellow, sticky and covered with a layer of grease that cannot be easily cleaned. However, try the following and you will be pleasantly surprised. Just apply one teaspoon of cleaning agent to the greasy part of the pan without wetting it beforehand. Then sprinkle a layer of table salt on it. Finally, just scrub with a dry sponge and everything will come off effortlessly.

Baking soda

Besides salt, another magical ingredient in the kitchen that every proper housewife has is baking soda. Prepare a mixture of baking soda and alcohol or dish soap in a 2:1 ratio until a paste forms. You can easily use this paste to clean burned or discolored pots and pans after frying. Just apply it, wipe with a sponge and then rinse well and dry to prevent water stains.

Soap and steel wool

The last option is ideal for pans that you haven’t properly cleaned for several months. But for this you will need good, old-fashioned steel wool, that is, a wire scrubber. If the first method doesn’t work and the washing powder doesn’t dissolve, use bath soap. Turn on the stove and put one of the dirty pans there so that the grease heats up and softens.

After a few seconds you can turn off the stove. Apply some soap to the affected area and start scrubbing it with the wire scrubber. Repeat the process until all the dirt is removed. The pan will look like new and you won’t have to spend money on a new one.
