Mouthwash is supposed to freshen our breath and keep the mouth and teeth perfectly clean. However, this menthol liquid can do much, much more. For a toothache, rinse your mouth three times a day. Mouthwash reduces tooth pain and decreases swelling. If, for example, you’re troubled by a fungal infection on your feet, mix mouthwash with warm water and soak your feet in this mixture for about twenty minutes. The skin condition will disappear faster than if you used special ointments.

Removes odor and soothes the skin

Mouthwash can clean the toilet, but it also removes unpleasant odors. Pour a little mouthwash into the bowl, scrub and flush. Another great effect is calming the skin after insect bites. It eases irritation and reduces itching. Soak a cotton pad in mouthwash and dab the affected area with it; the irritation will soon disappear.

If you’ve just run out of deodorant and forgot to buy a new one, you can use mouthwash instead. Simply apply it to a cotton pad and wipe the underarm area with it. It will remove unpleasant odors and also acts antibacterially. You can also use mouthwash as a hair mask against dandruff. After shampooing, apply it to the scalp, wrap in a towel, leave it on for a while and then rinse thoroughly.

Gets rid of fleas on pets

Dog shampoos against fleas can be quite expensive. Yet ordinary mouthwash can provide the same service. Mix it with water or with pet shampoo and wash your dog or cat with it to rid them of fleas. Since mouthwash has antiseptic properties, it makes an ideal remedy for fighting skin problems.

A toothbrush should of course be replaced regularly, but also cleaned thoroughly between replacements. For cleaning you can use, for example, mouthwash in which you immerse the brush overnight. Mouthwash will also help you with cleaning your mobile phone’s display. The screen is one of the dirtiest places and we touch it so often. Simply wipe the screen with a small amount of mouthwash and it will be clean again.

Freshens the trash can

Is an unpleasant smell coming from your trash can? Then drop a few drops of mouthwash onto a paper napkin and place it in the bin. The fresh scent will overpower all others. If you’re troubled by lice, mix some vinegar and mouthwash in equal parts. Pour the mixture into a spray bottle, spray onto the hair and leave it on for a while. Then comb the hair and wash. Repeat as needed.

If you find a tick on your body, soak a paper towel in mouthwash and apply it to the spot. It will disinfect the area around the bite. Mouthwash speeds up the healing of bruises since it stimulates blood flow and aids regeneration. If blisters trouble you, three times a day rub and gently press them with a pad soaked in mouthwash. They will disappear faster. At the same time you sterilize the affected area and prevent infection from entering through broken skin.
