The good old Alpa. It’s hardly missing from any household. Although we all know it’s good to have it handy, many people don’t realize what it can actually do.
We’ve collected 7 brilliant tips for you on how to use ordinary Alpa!
1 Recipe for back and joint pain
Don’t forget this recipe in the fall, when chestnut season arrives. Pour a medium bottle of Alpa over 10 chestnuts. Let infuse for 3 weeks in a cool, dark place and then use to rub on painful areas
2 For stomach pain
Did your parents tell you that for an aching stomach you should take a spoonful of Alpa with sugar? From personal experience we can confirm that it works extremely quickly. You can buy Alpa in grocery stores, just like sugar.
Just put a little sugar on a small spoon and pour a bit of Alpa over it. Consume it quickly; the cooling effect will occur immediately and relief should follow soon. If the pain caught you at home, pour a little Alpa on cotton wool or a cotton pad and gently rub the painful area with it. You’ll definitely feel better.
3 For corns, calluses and cracked heels
A homemade recipe for cracked heels, blisters and corns! If these problems trouble you, it’s worth trying. Crush 10 aspirin tablets, put them into a glass sealable jar and pour 250 ml of Alpa over them. Let the mixture sit for two days at room temperature and shake it every day so the aspirin dissolves well. Every evening apply this mixture to the heels using a moistened cotton pad — leave the pad on the heel. Then wrap the heel in plastic food wrap and put a sock over it. Leave it on overnight. In the morning rinse your feet, dry them well with a clean towel and apply cream.
4 Help for wrist pain and carpal tunnel syndromes
Thanks to this I avoided surgery and unbearable wrist pain: it’s worth a try and if you have a similar problem, I wholeheartedly recommend this!
Pour 500 ml of Alpa Lesana into a container or a jam jar and add 5 aloe vera leaves (approx. 15 cm long and 3 cm wide). Also add 15 aspirin tablets to this mixture and let it infuse in the refrigerator for 1 week. Rub on the painful areas every evening before bed for about 3 weeks. It also helps with the so-called “tennis elbow”.
5 Helps swollen feet
Many people use Alpa for problems with swollen feet as well. Just fill a warm bath and pour a little Alpa into the water. Lie in this bath for at least 20 minutes and the swelling should subside or at least be reduced.
6 Protects you from mosquitoes
Whenever Grandma went to the field, she sprayed a little of this mixture on her wrists: she had peace from mosquitoes and flies all day!
Into 200 ml of Alpa put 30 cloves and add the peel of one lemon. Let it infuse for at least 24 hours and then use it as a regular repellent. Spray on exposed parts of the body, or on clothing. Mosquitoes keep away and you have peace whenever you go out. Store in the refrigerator.
7 Makes windows shine
If you want your windows to shine again, you can use a mixture of warm water and Alpa. A chilled weak tea or vinegar water will help make a mirror glossy. Soak a cloth in the liquid, wring it out and wipe the mirror. When it dries, you can polish it.
8 The shirt collar will remain bright white
Just rub it with Alpa before wearing — especially the underside. Thanks to this simple trick you don’t have to worry about how to wash a yellowed collar.#9
9 Fragrant home and freedom from flies
Make an effective indoor spray with a lovely scent. You need 1 lemon, 1 teaspoon of Alpa, a drop of olive oil, a bundle of lavender and 10 cloves. Put the sliced lemon and cloves into 300 ml of water and boil for about 5 minutes. Then add the lavender, oil, Alpa and let cool. Then simply pour into a spray bottle and spray indoors.
10 Removes stains
Alpa is perfect for resin stains. Soak a cotton pad in Alpa and apply it directly to the stain. Let it act and then wash as usual.
11 Shoes pinching you? No problem!
Just wipe the inside of the shoes with Alpa and let it sit for a while, then you can put the shoes on comfortably. Besides eliminating unpleasant odor, Alpa will also make stiff leather shoes ‘give’ and you’ll be able to put them on much more comfortably.
