1. Prevent avocado from browning

Store the other half of your avocado in a small container with a piece of peeled onion.

To prevent bananas from ripening too quickly, you can cover the stem with a small piece of aluminum foil. If your bananas are not yet ripe, don’t make the mistake of putting them in the fridge — it can cause them to turn black.
